Editor's Note: This guest column is part of a Channel Partners Conference & Expo partnership.
While partner programs over the years have evolved for the better, there's always room for improvement, and an MSP-friendly vendor recognizes that. What makes a partner program successful is a fiercely debated topic among MSPs and the vendors supporting them. However, it all comes down to one thing in my experience — always trying to take things to the next level.
You see, a partner program should invest in the success of everyone. It should motivate, empower and support MSPs of all sizes, not just the larger ones or those generating the most monthly recurring revenue (MRR). Simply put, when you succeed, we succeed.
We value your partnership and loyalty and remain committed to helping you reach your goals in 2023. To that end, our partner program looks slightly different today than it did a year ago.
We recently rolled out the Kaseya + Datto Global Partner Program, and it's nothing like you've ever seen before — I guarantee you.
Why Market Development Funds (MDF) Should Matter to You
While our expanded partner program provides an arsenal of tools, including educational content, in-person events and technical support to help you overcome the challenges you face as an MSP, I’m most excited about what we’re doing for MSPs interested in taking advantage of market development funds (MDF).
First, Kaseya doubled MDF funding for 2023, bringing our total investment to $2.5 million — but that’s not even the best part. Not only will we help fund your events, including live events, webinars and content, but we’ll also help you plan and execute them as well.
I encourage you to use our team as a resource; we plan and execute all types of successful events daily, including tradeshows, virtual panels and breakfast events. Let us help you expand your business through:
- Client engagement
- Brand image enhancement
- New client acquisition
- Sales process improvement
- Sales pipeline building and closure
Introducing MSP Partner Days
Partners are often behind the changes to our partner program since we always encourage them to provide feedback. One of the suggestions we’ve received over the years was about holding dedicated virtual events for partners. After going back and forth on what should be included, we finalized the offering as Virtual MSP Partner Days.
Created with our partners in mind, these virtual events provide you with greater opportunities to learn more about the ever-evolving market and how to grow your business. These one-day events will feature keynote speakers, MSP panels, product education rooms, designated learning areas and more. However, the best part about MSP Partner Days is that this is just the beginning. We’ve got big plans to keep growing by:
- Expanding the program all across Kaseya and Datto
- Adding new rewards, exclusive offers and exciting events
- Increasing our investment in your success
If you're not familiar with the Kaseya + Datto Global Partner Program, it's a tiered system based on ARR – Silver ($1K), Gold ($25K), Platinum ($100K) and Blue Diamond ($250K). Regarding tiering, here's something new: You can now combine your spending on Datto and Kaseya modules, which means you will qualify at higher levels. While we're expecting many more Blue Diamond partners this year, we're also introducing a new tier — Blue Diamond Elite, which will include Kaseya's top 2% of partners.
The Kaseya + Datto Global Partner Program offers way too many benefits to list. I'll do my best to highlight a few more, including access to free passes to industry events, the Kaseya MSP Enablement Team, Powered Services Jumpstart and exclusive partner program offers.
I've been in your shoes and will ensure this program has everything you need to grow your business. If you haven't taken full advantage of Kaseya's Global Partner Program yet, I encourage you to leverage our program this year to take your business to a new level. Reach out to your Account Manager and find out how you can start reaping the rewards.
